As mentioned in our previous blog post, we encouraged visitors at our booth to write down their reflections after the Random Blends presentation. Today, we will share some of their thoughts through this post :)

Foreign workers are just like us and deserve to be treated like humans too. They might be portrayed as being of lower status, but they work equally as hard or sometimes even harder, but do not get the same treatment. I hope for everyone to treat them as equals one day.
These workers build up our nation from the ground. They’ve come a long way from their homeland. They have every right to be treated equally for all the work that they’ve done. #humanme

Migrant workers are humans too. Just because they don’t speak our language or work a low-paying job or come from a different cultural background doesn’t mean they are any less human. We shouldn’t treat them as invisible or marginal.

Appreciate migrant workers for who they are, human beings with aspirations, dreams and their families.
Foreign workers are the unsung heroes in society… more needs to be done to ensure that they are well-treated, fairly treated and the least we can do for them is to recognise them for all the hard work that they have done!

I think migrant workers deserve to be treated as a basic employees and deserve human rights and welfare from employers. We should all play a part in making Singapore a better place for those who build our country.
The statistics really opened my eyes to the reality of the oppression. Evidences are hard to come by and it works against the FDWs as structural constraints are reflexive. Hear a lot about how social media can really help them achieve better health standards.

I think migrant workers are humans too! They have families and Home and people they are trying to support - just like us. Moreover, they build the fundamentals of our society and should be respected!
